Two star shows (![]()
)
are non-cup show that typically attract a large entry
One star shows (
)
are smaller, but may still attract 80-100 exhibits.
Stars indicate the number of points that an exceptional rat may be awarded at a show. Simply winning a variety class does not guarantee that stars will be awarded. All NFRS shows have pet classes where rosettes, prize-cards and sometimes trophies may be awarded.
Please read this article on how
to make life easier for the show secretary regarding the new novice
award.
You do not need to be a member of the NFRS to enter its shows.
If you are showing, it is advisable to arrive about an hour before
judging starts. If you are just visiting a show to see what goes
on, it is probably best to turn up around the time judging starts
as people are more relaxed once the rats are tabled. Shows normally
finish between 4:30-6pm.
Most shows have refreshments, and all offer an opportunity to
meet like-minded people, and see some really lovely rats!
