Most of you will have heard that monkeypox is transmissable to rodents.

If you are diagnosed with monkeypox, or think you may have it, it's very important that you and your other family members stop any direct contact with your pet rats or other rodents. If you do need to handle them, use disposable gloves and hand sanitiser. Do not let them sit on your shoulder etc.

The following contains useful information about symptoms in animals. Please note, this infection can be quite nasty for rodents.

Thanks for sharing Ann.

I got some pretty bad bug bites last week and I wasn't sure what they were at first so I called 111 and got some advice just to make sure. I'm glad I was cautious tbh because I can't imagine how I'll it would make such little creatures.
